What is The Inner Work?

A New Beginning

The world is changing and so is our consciousness. The past doesn’t have to determine our future. We can be free together. But first, how did we get to where we are?

We’re each born with the innate ability to listen to who we really are, our true, authentic Self, or soul. This is our innate spiritual intelligence and internal guidance system.

As children we see through the vision of our hearts, freely expressing our emotions, giving and receiving love and dreaming of the lives we’ll lead as adults. Society conditions us to see through the lens of fear and separation and we lose connection to our heart’s intelligence.

We experience emotions we aren’t shown how to safely integrate, that stay in our nervous systems trapping is in the past and interrupting our mental and physical wellbeing and fulfilment in relationships.

We internalise societal messages about how we should be and adapt our self-expression to fit in.

The part of our mind that judges and sees us as separate from our innate innocence and perfection, develops and the loving voice of the heart is replaced by the voice of fear.

The result is a disconnection from our potential and movement away from the freedom and forgiveness of the heart. We rely on the outside world for our stability and sense of worth and live in our heads, using a small part of our potential, reacting to life and replaying the past.

Because this happens unconsciously and no one shows us how our mind works, we live unaware of our innate power to return home to love and the power of our soul.

How Can We Create Positive Change?

By understanding the mind and how to live by the natural laws that govern nature instead of the laws governing society that work through fear, we can learn how to choose love over fear and live in harmony with life, directly experiencing our innate perfection.

By attuning to the guidance of our internal teacher instead of the conditioning of the outside world, we can develop inner peace and stability; meeting all parts of our selves and others with compassion, curiosity, forgiveness and unconditional love.

By developing self-love and practicing self-forgiveness, we can be our authentic Self in relationships, reducing emotional stress and preventing avoidable stress-related illness.

By bringing all parts of our mind-personality home to our heart, we can grow beyond the mind to the loving presence of the soul, bringing transformation to our relationships and the world. We can create a future grounded in love and trust and be both the change we wish to see in the world and the love we hope to encounter in others.

This is the power of Self-leadership.

It is a new beginning and return to the infinite potential with which we are born.
